New for 2015 – Our photo competition
New for 2015, our photo competition was for local people to grab a camera and capture their best shots of the theme “Our Trendlewood”. Congratulations to Ann Irving, Sara Kelly and Bethany Edwards whose prize winning entries can be seen here www.facebook.com/TrendlewoodCommunityFestival.
Produce, craft and much more. We had a wide variety of items on sale, all made in the local area.
Static vehicle display
Enthusiasts from Nailsea and beyond shared their rare and vintage motors. SJH Machinery also displayed some agricultural vehicles.
We put on our own activity area for under 8’s with a ball pit and bouncy castle, games, painting, making and building, just for little people. There was a small charge for this area.
We had a chill out zone for young people, with pool, table tennis, xbox and comfy sofa’s to hangout with your mates. Right next to the skate park, there was plenty to do and watch. We also had a large bouncy assault course and a bouncy castle, that any age can go on.
Plus plenty more around the site
Avon Fire & Rescue Service, with a fire engine and their High Velocity Unit, plus the Fire Prevention team.
Avon & Somerset Police, with their Police Car and new for 2015, you could test your skills in their football cage for 3-a-side games.
Highways England had a Traffic Officer patrol vehicle and Winter Salt Spreader for visitors to explore.
What can I eat and drink?
We had plenty to offer and you were welcome to bring a picnic too and make a day of it.
The Tea Tent
Serving great, locally produced cakes with quality fairtrade tea & coffee, all served in china cups and plates.
Our great BBQ, served you a traditional burger or hot dog.
Street Treats – Nailsea’s very own locally made ice cream, served fresh from their unique italian Piaggio van.
Pizza Oven selling freshly made pizza’s to order.
Sadly, due to school policy, we cannot allow any dogs on site except guide and police dogs. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
